the care of the earth in the most natural and tender way.

What Is a Natural Burial?

A natural burial is a gentle alternative to conventional burial or cremation.
Instead of sealed coffins, concrete vaults, or chemical embalming, the focus is on natural materials,

simplicity, and respect for the earth’s cycles.

• Bodies are laid to rest in biodegradable shrouds or eco-coffins made from willow, bamboo, or untreated wood.

• No embalming fluids or plastics are used, allowing the body to return naturally to the soil.

• Graves are dug shallowly, where the microbial and mycelial life is most active, ensuring true natural decomposition.

• Memorials are living — wildflowers, trees, or small wooden markers that blend gently into the landscape.

• The land is managed for biodiversity, encouraging the return of pollinators, birds, and native flora.

• Egerton: A peaceful, meadowed hillside surrounded by hedgerows, oaks, and open sky — a place for quiet reflection and connection close to Ashford International, Kent. 

• Hythe: A coastal sanctuary bordered by whispering grasses and sea breezes — a landscape of light, renewal,

Both sites are being gently rewilded, creating new habitat for native species and serving as living memorial landscapes.

Exciting News — Planning Permission Granted!

We are delighted to share that planning permission has now been granted for both our

Egerton and Hythe Natural Burial Grounds.

Our next steps are already underway: we’re carrying out final ecological and environmental surveys, and carefully planning the infrastructure — pathways, parking, and natural planting — to ensure every detail

reflects our values of beauty, respect, and ecological integrity.

We are working hard to open these sacred spaces as soon as possible.
