On 15th May 2025, Chris Roads - a much-loved husband, father, and friend - sadly died peacefully at home, surrounded by love. His passing has left a deep ache in the hearts of those who knew him, but also a powerful desire to honour the life he lived with such quiet dedication, humour, and care.

Chris was a man who gave greatly in life. He loved his family fiercely and found deep joy in the simple things, being with his beloved family, his wonderful friends but also beekeeping. The bees became more than a hobby for Chris; they were part of his rhythm, his refuge, and his way of giving back to the land.

​

In memory of Chris, we are launching Chris Roads Apiarists - a living legacy project to continue the work he quietly began. Funds raised will support:

• Local beekeepers and apprenticeships for young or new bee guardians

• Wildflower planting and restoration of bee habitats

• Education about pollinators for schools and community groups

​

This initiative is not yet a formal charity - it's grassroots, personal, and built with love. Every pound will go directly to protecting the bees Chris cared about, and the wider ecosystem they support.
